The trailer of the upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film Dhanush starrer ‘Raayan’ released on Tuesday. It explores the criminal underworld which showcases Dhanush in the menacing role and is filled with action, suspense and thrill. Set for a release next week, the film features Sandeep Kishan, SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Aparna Balamurali, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar.
‘Raayan‘ also marks the 50th film of Dhanush’s career. The film’s music is composed by AR Rahman, cinematography by Om Prakash and editing by Prasanna GK.
Written and directed by Dhanush, the film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures. Raayan was scheduled to release on 13 June 2024 in theatres.

Plot of ‘Raayan’
Raayan, played by Dhanush is a simple young man who goes in search of the killers to avenge the death of his family, where his quest of finding the killers leads him through the organized crime syndicate.
Dhanush’s Directorial Debut Pa Paandi (2017)
Released in 2017, ‘Pa Paandi‘ is a Tamil film directed by Dhanush which revolves around Paandi (portrayed by Rajkiran) — a lonely retired stunt master in the film industry who embarks on a road trip reconnecting with his past and discovering new friendships along the way. Along with Rajkiran, the film’s cast includes Revathi, Prasanna, Chaya Singh, and Dhanush in a cameo appearance. The music for the film was composed by Sean Roldan, with lyrics by Dhanush.
‘Pa Paandi‘ earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Director – Tamil award.
Dhanush is a recipient of four National Film Awards, 14 SIIMA Awards, 8 Filmfare Awards South and a Filmfare Award.
Among the highest paid actors in Indian cinema, he has been included in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list six times.
Dhanush’s films ‘Vadachennai’ and ‘Maari 2,’ released in 2018 was highly praised by critics and emerged as the highest-grossing A-rated Tamil films of all time.
