The most loved K-Pop girl group BLACKPINK had extended their contract with YG Entertainment. YG Entertainment made an official announcement and ended all the rumours about the departure of the group.
BLACKPINK to continue with YG Entertainment:
The YG Entertainment management company for popular K-Pop girl group, made an official announcement on December 6 KST, and stated that they had successfully negotiated with all members of the group, and the group will continue making new records with their debut label.
“We have successfully reached an agreement within our board of directors regarding the signing of exclusive group contracts for all four members of BLACKPINK, our esteemed artists,” YG Entertainment said in a statement. “BLACKPINK will continue to do its best to shine more brightly in the world music market as an artist representing K-POP, and we will continue to give their unwavering support and faith in their actions,” the agency added.
According to the reports, their previous contract with YG Entertainment expired in August 2023. But after the renewal of the contract, it has been decided that they will continue doing group activities and individual contracts are still being negotiated with each member.
With this announcement, it is clear that Jisoo, Jinnie, Rosé and Lisa will continue to break records with YG Entertainment.
Some reports say that two members, including Lisa, have already decided to part ways with YG Entertainment when it comes to individual careers.
YG Entertainment stock increases by 20%:
Since the group made a comeback, YG Entertainment’s declining stock saw a noticeable increment of 20% of stock. Fans flooded the internet with zeal and excitement, celebrating the “Queen Era.”
A fan wrote “BP owns them”, others said “Blackpink queens”, “bc they are the queens of k-pop”, “BLACKPINK raising YG from death”, “BP is their only income these days.”
