On Monday, several schools across Delhi-NCR were targeted with bomb threat emails, prompting heightened security measures. Approximately 100 schools in the region received these alarming messages, leading law enforcement to initiate extensive search operations. Among the affected institutions were Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, Delhi Public School in Dwarka and Noida, as well as Amity International School in Pushp Vihar and Saket.
Police have confirmed that all students have been evacuated from the affected schools and are being sent home for their safety.
Authorities received information regarding a bomb threat at Delhi Public School, Dwarka. Delhi Police, along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and fire services, have responded promptly, and a search operation is currently ongoing. Meanwhile, the principal’s office at Delhi Public School, Noida, issued a statement acknowledging the threat and announcing the immediate dismissal of students as a precautionary measure.
Mother Mary’s School in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi, is also being evacuated, with a comprehensive inspection of the premises underway. Additionally, a spokesperson from Amity International Schools confirmed the closure of the institution for the day, awaiting further instructions.
Are These Threats A Hoax?
On Wednesday, the Union Home Ministry labelled the bomb threats targeting schools in the city and surrounding regions as “hoaxes” and urged the public not to succumb to panic.
Reiterating that police and security agencies are adhering to established protocols, a spokesperson from the ministry stated, “There is no cause for alarm. The emails seem to be fraudulent. Delhi Police and security agencies are following standard procedures.”
The Delhi Police confirmed that they had conducted comprehensive inspections of all schools targeted with bomb threats, but no evidence of any danger was discovered.
In a statement posted on X, the Delhi Police stated, “Several schools in Delhi received emails regarding bomb threats. Delhi Police has meticulously examined all such schools following established protocols.”
Some schools of Delhi received E-mails regarding bomb threats. Delhi Police has conducted thorough check of all such schools as per protocol. Nothing objectionable has been found. It appears that these calls seem to be hoax.

Other Bomb Threats Received By Delhi Schools
In February this year, the Delhi Police initiated a case in response to a bomb threat directed at the Delhi Police School located in R K Puram, the national capital.
In May of the preceding year, Delhi Public School, situated on Mathura Road, received an email containing a bomb threat. Following thorough searches that yielded no evidence of any suspicious items, the police deemed the threat to be a hoax.
