Britney Spears finally ended all the rumour through the funny instagram post, that she is not working on a new album and announced that she will never return to the music industry.
Britney Spears ending the rumour:
Britney Spears, 42 yr old singer, said that she won’t be releasing new music any time soon. On Jan 3, Wednesday she stated in an Instagram post, when she writes, it’s either for enjoyment or for other people. Even for those who have read her book, there are other things about her that we are unaware of.
She said, “In the last two years, I’ve written over 20 songs for other people.”
Spears’ last album was ‘Glory’ which was released in 2016. It is noted that she just kept herself aways from the light and started working as ‘ghost writer’ for other artists and said “enjoys it that way.”
The pop singer appeared to be responding to rumours that broke early on Wednesday morning on Page Six regarding Britney Spears possibly working with writer Julia Michaels and singer Charli XCX on an untitled record, which would be her first in almost ten years. According to the report, Spears has not yet released any new music because “the project is only starting to take shape.”
“They keep saying I’m turning to random people to do a new album … I will never return to the music industry,” Spears wrote in the caption to an Instagram post of the Italian Renaissance painting “Salome Bearing the Head of St. John the Baptist.”
Michaels and Spears have previously collaborated, though the nature of their collaboration is unknown. Michaels is credited as a writer on Spears’ “Slumber Party,” a song that appeared on her last studio album, “Glory” (2016). It was also co-written by Mattias Larsson, Robin Fred.
Spears then described herself as a “ghostwriter,” which means she writes for other artists without putting her name on the projects, and stated that she “honestly [prefers] it that way.”
Through her recent Instagram post, she also addressed claims that her book, “The Woman in Me,” was published without her permission. The book became a national best-seller in its first week, selling over 1.1 million copies in print, pre-sales, e-books, and audiobooks.
Reason behind Spears using Guido Reni art:
After seeing Spears post, a common question which comes to mind is ‘why she posted this photo with the caption? She would have posted her photo instead. But being an artist, Singer played with the art and amused her followers and fans. Because the art ‘Salome with the head of John the Baptist’ by Guido Reni is the classical symbol of ‘femme fatale.’
The word ‘femme fatale’ is derived from the French language which defines mysterious, beautiful and seductive women who are also an archetype of literature and art.The art also symbolises the ‘fin-de-siècle.’ A phrase which simply means ‘end of century’ and also defines the artistic style.
By posting the art piece of Guido Reni, Spears hinted to her followers and fans that she is beautiful in her own way and it is the end of her musical era. And indirectly indicates that she is much more than just a ‘singer.’
Britney Spears as an Independent women:
Since her 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, the pop star has taken control of her life. Jamie Spears, Britney’s father, was appointed conservator of her personal life, finances, and other matters in 2008. Britney began advocating for the conservatorship to be terminated in 2021, claiming that Jamie, 71, and co-conservator Jodi Montgomery, who took over in 2019, abused their positions.
She explained that the tight control placed on her has now led her to post frequently and candidly on social media. Britney has taken to Instagram since the end of her conservatorship to perform dances for her fans, allegedly call out ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, share memories with her sons, and give a glimpse into her life as a newly single woman after estranged husband Sam Asghari filed for divorce in August 2023. (Britney has two children with ex-husband Kevin Federline: Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17.)
Spears’ memoir was described by Stephen Rodrick as a lesson in how the media destroys young, successful women, writing, “Talk show hosts and paps have expressed regret that they turned the Princess of Pop into a hunted animal, and the object of scorn.” We discuss how we’ve all learned our lesson. Don’t put money on it.”
“That’s far from the truth,” Spears concluded in her Instagram post. “Have you read the news lately???” “I’m incredibly loved and blessed.”
