US Police have strongly denied rumours that Goldy Brar, who was accused of being the mastermind behind the murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala, died in a shooting in California.
The incident happened yesterday on Fairmont and Holt Avenue in Fresno, California. There was an argument, and two people were shot. Unfortunately, one of them died in the hospital. People on social media started arguing that the person who died was Goldy Brar, the gangster from Canada. But the Fresno Police Department quickly said this wasn’t true. They called it a misinformation.
They were receiving messages from all over the world because of these rumours. But the police confirmed that the person who died wasn’t Goldy Brar. Local reports say the person who died was Xavier Galdney, 37 years old.
In response to the spreading rumours, the Fresno Police Department quickly tackled the situation, categorically denying the claims as “false.” Lieutenant William J. Dooley, speaking to the news agency IANS, emphasized, “If you’re asking about the online talk suggesting the shooting victim is ‘Goldy Brar,’ we can confirm that’s completely untrue.”
“We have received inquiries from around the world this morning due to misinformation being spread on social media and online news agencies. We are not sure who started this rumour, but it caught on and spread like wildfire. But again, it isn’t true. The victim is not Goldy,” he further added.
Who is Goldy Brar?
Goldy Brar is a significant figure in the murder probe involving Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, and has deep ties to the clandestine world of gang rivalries. Born in 1994, Brar came from a family with a law enforcement background but chose a different trajectory, pursuing a BA degree while being active in Canada, notably in Punjab.
His purported involvement in Moose Wala’s murder stems from his alleged connection to the crime, initially linked to the Lawrence Gang prior to Brar’s admission. Sidhu Moose Wala, known for blending traditional Punjabi folk music with contemporary hip-hop, tragically met his demise in May 2022 in a violent incident.
Initially, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for Moose Wala’s murder. However, Brar later confessed to the crime during a televised statement, alleging that Moose Wala’s alleged involvement in the murder of Lawrence’s associate, Vicky Midukhera, compelled him to take action.
Last year, Brar confessed to planning an attack on Bollywood superstar Salman Khan next, asserting that there’s no doubt Salman is their next target and they will persist in their efforts against all adversaries as long as they are alive.
