On Sunday, Industrialist and former Congress MP Naveen Jindal joined BJP, ahead of Lok Sabha polls scheduled to start on April 19th.
Naveen Jindal joins BJP
Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power, former Congress MP Naveen Jindal joined BJP in Delhi at the party headquarters, in the presence of its general secretary, Vinod Tawade who said the presence of Jindal in the party will help the government’s agenda of boosting the country’s economy.
Naveen Jindal’s Statement
After joining BJP, Naveen Jindal stated, “Today is a very important day of my life. I am proud that I joined the BJP today and will be able to serve the nation under the leadership of PM Modi. I want to contribute to the ‘Viksit Bharat’ dream of PM Modi.”
Naveen Jindal’s Constituency under Congress
Naveen Jindal represented the Kurukshetra constituency, as Congress leader in the Lok Sabha election between 2004-14. However, He lost in the 2014 national elections to BJP’s Raj Kumar Saini.
