John Wick’s director, Chad Stahelski, is set to produce an English-language remake of the Indian action thriller film ’Kill,’ written and directed by Indian filmmaker Nikhil Nagesh Bhat. This Hollywood remake will be produced by 87Eleven Entertainment, the same production company behind the Keanu Reeves-starring John Wick franchise.
The announcement was made by Adam Fogelson, chairman of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, just days before the film’s release. Said to be the most violent and goriest movie ever, the film stars Lakshaya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala, Abhishek Chauhan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya.

Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions have announced that this weekend’s theatrical release marks one of the first collaborations between a mainstream Hindi-language film and a Hollywood studio for a theatrical rollout in North America and the U.K.
“Kill is one of the most vivid, wild, and creative action movies I’ve seen recently,” said Chad Stahelski. Kill features relentless action sequences that need to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It’s exciting to be developing an English language version.We have big shoes to fill and I’m looking forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet and Achin to achieve that.”
Kill premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2023, where it earned the distinction of being the first runner-up for the People’s Choice Award: Midnight Madness.
The film is set to release theatrically on 5 July, 2024.
