On last saturday night, the rock band “Kiss” wrapped up their performance of “The End Of The Road” farewell tour at New York city’s famed Madison Square Garden.
During their encore- band’s founders Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons as well as guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer left stage to reveal digital avatars of themselves.
After this, “Kiss” avatars performed “God Gave Rock And Roll To You.”
This seems like a new chapter for the “Kiss” band, which is interested in experimenting with technology.
The avatars were created by George Lucas special effects company, Industrial lights and Magic in partnership with Pophouse The Entertainment Group. Co-founded by ABBA’s Björn Ulvaeus.
The two companies recently came together for the “ABBA Voyage” show in London. In which fans could attend a full concert by the Swedish band- as performed by digital avatars.
CEO of Pophouse Entertainment said, this will help “Kiss” continue their legacy forever.
For creating their digital avatars, which basically seems like a superhero version of a band. Kiss performed in motion capture suits.
Era of digital avatars
Usage of these technologies has been increased by the time by certain sections of the music industry.
Aespa, the K-Pop girl group, frequently perform with their digital avatars to create the visuals of twins.Another girl group, Eternity, is made up of virtual characters; there is no need for humans in it.
Know what “Kiss” frontman said:

“We can be forever young and forever iconic by taking us to places we’ve never dreamed of before,” Kiss bassist Gene Simmons added. “The technology is going to make Paul jump higher than he’s ever done before.”
