Four members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were arrested on Saturday for conspiring another attack on Bollywood star Salman Khan at his Panvel farmhouse. Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan. “They have been booked under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections, including 120-B (Conspiracy) and 506 (criminal intimidation),” the official said.
“We have made four arrests in the case. The accused had been plotting to target the actor for a long time and had stayed in Panvel to conduct recce,” Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Pansare said.
According to the reports, Automatic high caliber weapons AK-47, M-16, AK-92 from Pakistan were to be used from a Pakistani arms dealer. The accused Ajay Kashyap contacted a person named Dogar in Pakistan through a video call and weapons like AK-47 were ordered from Pakistan in the murder plot against the Bollywood actor.
“In April, we received information that some people are conducting recce at the Panvel farmhouse of Salman Khan. We infiltrated our informers and police officers into Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s WhatsApp groups and other social media… We arrested the 4 accused from Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Sambhaji Nagar… They had also conducted a recce in Bandra,” said Pansare.
According to the police. about 60 to 70 boys of Lawrence Bishnoi and Sampat Nehra’s gang came from Mumbai, Raigad, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Pune and Gujarat and are keeping an eye on Khan.
