Narendra Modi took the oath as Prime Minister of India for a third consecutive term on Sunday evening at 7:15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
The oath was administered by President Draupadi Murmu. He became the first person after former PM Jawaharlal Nehru to be elected as PM for the third consecutive term.

Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu, Mauritius PM Pravind Jugnauth, Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepal PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, and Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay, along with Vice President Ahmed Afif of Seychelles, Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina were among the eminent leaders from India’s neighbourhood who graced the oath taking ceremony with their presence.
In addition to that, Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Rajnikanth, Anil Kapoor, Anupam Kher, Akshay Kumar, Vikrant Massey, attended the swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan, corporate leaders such as Gautam Adani, his brother Rajesh Adani, Mukesh Ambani, Anant Ambani, and Anand Piramal were also present at the grand ceremony.
