Ram Charan has been declared the Guest of Honour at the 15th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, beginning from 15th August to 25th August. He will be awarded as the first Indian celebrity to be honored as the Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM)
Founded in 2010, and presented by Film Victoria, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) is a festival held every year in Melbourne. The current tender provider is Mind Blowing Films, run by Mitu Bhowmick Lange who is the Festival Director of IFFM. The primary objective of the film festival is to showcase Indian cinema to the Australian audience.

IFFM is to be held from August 15 to August 25 this year. The guest list includes Vikrant Massey, A.R Rahman, Malaika Arora, Anurag Kashyap, Nora Fatehi, Adarsh Gourav, Rasika Duggal among many others.

Mitu Bhowmick Lange praised his performance in RRR and expressed delight to celebrate his achievements with audiences at the festival. “Ram Charan’s presence at the 15th edition of IFFM adds an extra layer of excitement and prestige,”he added.
Ram Charan is one of the highest paid actors in Indian cinema and has featured in Forbes Indian’s Celebrity 100 list since 2013. He has won three Filmfare Awards and two Nandi Awards. He is known for his film ‘Chirutha‘ (2007), ‘Magadheera‘ (2009), ‘Naayak‘ (2013), ‘Yevadu‘ (2014), ‘Dhurva‘ (2016), and ‘Rangasthalam‘ (2018).”
His song ‘Naatu Naatu‘ from RRR won the Oscar for Best Original Song at the 95th Academy Awards.
Upcoming Projects of Ram Charan
He will soon be seen in Shankar’s ‘Game Changer‘ opposite actress Kiara Advani. In addition to that, he will also work with Buchi Babu Sana and Janhvi Kapoor for a film apart from one with Pushpa director Sukumar.
