PM Narendra Modi will be coming to Ayodhya for the ‘pran pratishtha’ of Ram Temple on Monday, January 22. Over 8,000 special invitees will witness the grand event outside the ‘garbh griha’ or sanctum sanctorum. According to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, the new idol of Ram Lalla is scheduled to be installed at the sanctum-sanctorum of the temple on Thursday.
Ram Temple – Significance of 22nd Jan 2024
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Temple will take place from 12:29:03pm to 12.30:35pm. These 84 seconds are believed to be the most sacred of the 48-minute ‘Abhijeet muhurat’ which occurs once every day between sunrise and sunset. The date and the muhurat have been chosen as according to Hindu scriptures, Lord Ram was born in Abhijeet muhurat.
January 22 was chosen as it is the 12th day (Dwadashi) of Paush (the tenth month of the Hindu calendar) Shukla. “This time is good. People will get a good sense, and mental peace by serving God. After the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Ram Temple, PM Modi will worship at Shiv Mandir on Kuber Tila inside Ram Janambhoomi premises. It is also believed that on Kuber Tila, Lord Kuber is seated as a servant of Lord Ram in his kingdom Ayodhya as a symbol of glory and wealth.
PM may pay tributes to a new Jatayu statue installed at Kuber Tila. Jatayu had a crucial role in the Ramayana as he tried to save Sita from Ravana’s clutches.
