The release date of Prabhas’s ‘Salaar’ and Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Dunki’ is near and the competition between both of the films is getting intense.
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Dunki’ is going to be released in theatres on 21st of December prior to ‘Salaar’ whose release date is 22nd of December.
Salaar vs Dunki Advance bookings: Race to Blockbuster hit
According to the trade experts, ‘Dunki’ has set the box office already on fire with its impressive advance bookings.
The film gathered $846,216 in revenue and sold 31,833 tickets in the US prior to its launch.
On the other hand, reports have shown that North Indian multiplexes screen allocations are divided- 46 percent for ‘Dunki’, 30 percent for ‘Salaar’ and the rest is covered by ‘Aquaman.’
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan claims that the figures cover 415 venues in the US, exhibiting 1,331 performances. A day before “Salaar” is supposed to premiere, “Dunki” is supposed to appear on screen. Rajkumar Hirani’s US advance booking figures show a gross earning of $155,256. With 11,300 tickets sold at 433 locations, the movie has presented 1,226 shows overall.
It is anticipated that ticket sales will increase during the Christmas and New Year holiday, sustaining high weekend revenues into the weekdays.
On December 21, Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Dunki,” starring Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, and Vicky Kaushal, will be released in theatres. Dunki: Story of “Coming Home”
In Rajkumar Hirani’s film, Shah Rukh Khan plays Hardy Singh Dhillon. The four friends Hardy wants to move to London with are Balli (Anil Grover), Manu (Taapsee Pannu), Sukhi (Vicky Kaushal), and Buggu Lakhanpal (Vikram Kochhar).
In order to get ready for their trip, they set out to become fluent in English and acquainted with British traditions. But, they decide to enter London through an unapproved route known as “Dunki.” Their lives are significantly impacted by the experiences and challenges they have as a result of this choice.
