Marvel Studios has released the trailer for ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ the fourth Captain America movie and featuring Anthony Mackie as the Captain America alongwith Danny Ramirez, and Shira Haas.
Directed by a Nigerian-American film director, screenwriter and producer Julius Onah and co written by Malcolm Spellman, Dalan Musson, and Matthew Orton ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is the 35th film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the fourth film of the Captain America film series, a continuation of the television miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021).

Julius Onah is known for his directing films including ‘The Girl is in Trouble’ (2015), ‘The Cloverfield Paradox’ (2018) and ‘Luce‘ featuring Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer, Tim Roth and Kelvin Harrison Jr., the film was premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
The film is produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.
The film will see Harrison Ford taking over the role of Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross. The trailer depicts Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) in direct conflict with Thunderbolt Ross, who aims to make Captain America an official military position. After a meeting with the newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross, Sam finds himself amid an international incident caused by a mysterious attack. He must uncover the reason behind a global plot against world leaders before the mastermind’s plan comes to fruition, threatening global security.

Initially announced as ‘Captain America: New World Order’ in July 2022, the film was retitled ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ in June 2023.
‘Captain America: Brave New World’ is slated to be released in the U.S. on February 14, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
‘Brave New World’ refers to a novel by Aldous Huxley, a book which explores the concept of dystopian society. Set in a society known as the World State, the book showcases a world where individuals are conditioned from birth to suppress their emotions and individuality. Huxley critiques the potential consequences of state control and the loss of personal freedom.
