Bollywood actor and BJP’s newly elected MP Kangana Ranaut was allegedly slapped by Central Reserve Police Force (CISF) lady constable Kulwinder Kaur on Thursday at Chandigarh Airport.
Ranaut recently won the Lok Sabha election from the Mandi constituency in Himachal Pradesh. According to the reports, she was boarding a flight to Delhi and had just come out of a security check when the incident took place.

Posting a video on X after the incident, Kangana Ranaut took to social media and said, “I am safe. I am perfectly fine. The incident took place during the security check. After I was done with the security check, a woman constable of the CISF waited for me to pass through the cabin. Later, she came from the side, hit me in the face and started abusing me”,
“When I asked her (CISF jawan), why she did this, she said that she supported the farmers’ protest. I am safe but my concern is that “jo aatankwad aur ugarwad Punjab mai bad raha hai”, how do we handle that?” Check the video

But why did the Kulwinder Kaur slap Kangana Ranaut?
According to the video footage, Kulwinder Kaur claimed that she slapped the BJP leader due to her remarks made on the farmers’ protest in 2021-22, in which she said the protesters as “paid participants”.
“She gave a statement… that farmers are sitting there for ₹100. Will she go and sit there? My mother was sitting there and protesting when she gave this statement,” Kaur said in the video that went viral.
FIR lodged against CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur
Following the airport incident, Kulwinder Kaur has been suspended. An FIR has been lodged against the CISF constable by Mohali airport police on Friday under IPC sections 321 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint) but no arrest has been made as of now.

Shiromani Akali Dal MP, Harsimrat Kaur Badal criticized Kangana’s behavior
“Instead of looking at your mistake, you are calling them terrorists…Your party’s policy is to spread poison… Instead of spreading poison, if you spread sweetness, you won’t have to face such a situation,” Harsimrat Kaur said when asked about the situation.
