The much awaited trailer of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas starrer, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ has been released today in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada. The film is slated to release in theaters on June 27.

‘Kalki 2898 AD’: A Unique Blend of Mythology and Science Fiction
Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is inspired from ancient Hindu mythology, and showcases the story of Kalki, the last avatar of Hindu god ‘Vishnu’. As per the trailer, the film is set in a unique post-apocalyptic world in the city of Kashi. It starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD.
The budget of this film is 600 crores, making it the most expensive Indian film. In an interview with Deadline, actor Prabhas claimed that the film is “made for international audiences, which is why it’s so expensive. The film is produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, and its music score is composed by Indian composer and musician Santhosh Narayanan.
In an interview, the director Nag Ashwin emphasized that the audience will be seeing futuristic Indian cities in the film “We have been working on Kalki for the past five years. We have designed everything from scratch. I believe audiences will like it.” said Nag Ashwin.
The star cast includes Deepika Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Hassan, and Disha Patani in the lead roles.

In ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Bujji is the futuristic car and Bhairava’s best friend, and a significant element in the film. Bujji is voiced by Keerthy Suresh.
