Hrithik Roshan planning to explore comedy genre
Hrithik Roshan has dabbled in a variety of genres during his time in the Indian film industry. However, he is interested in exploring the genre of situational straight-faced comedy in films. The actor revealed his true ambition and said, “There’s one thing that I’m really dying to do but the stars haven’t aligned and I haven’t found the script which is this situational straight-faced comedy. But I don’t see that kind of stuff being written.”
The Krish actor revealed why he hasn’t discovered that outstanding script, saying, “What happens is that when we look at comedy, I don’t even mind if it’s dark. That’s something else I could live with, but when I see comedy being written and performed, I know that the intention is to make you laugh and that everyone finds it humorous.”
Hrithik continued by saying he was searching for a narrative reminiscent of the American comedy ‘Hangover’. Hrithik Roshan “What I’m searching for is more along the lines of The Hangover, with four to five distinct characters and actors who fully inhabit those characters. They put the actors in scenarios that drive them to respond as their characters would. Thus, it is up to the actor to decide how they would respond to this.”
Hrithik Roshan wants time for himself
Siddharth Anand was also present in the interview, and he also agreed to work with Hrithik on a romantic comedy. Super 30 star said, “I have just gone through three transformations,” in response to the question of whether he’s also hoping to work with Sid on it. “I’ll have to kill myself in order to go get back in shape if Sid makes a romantic comedy right now.”
The actor responded with a firm “No,” stating that it will take some time for him to fit back into that type of role. Of course, working with Sid would be fun.
