UPSE (The Union Public Service Commission) has announced the Civil Services 2023 examination results on its official website. Aditya Srivastava clinched the top position, followed by Animesh Pradha and Donuru Ananya Reddy. Candidates are encouraged to visit the UPSC’s official website, upsc.gov.in, to access and download their results.
In total, 1016 candidates have been recommended for appointment to various prestigious services including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Central Services Group A and Group B.

UPSE’23 Toppers Background
Srivastava, who graduated with a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur, excelled in the examination with Electrical Engineering as his optional subject.
Animesh Pradhan, a Computer Science graduate from NIT Rourkela, secured the second position with Sociology as his optional subject. Donuru Ananya Reddy, a Geography graduate from Miranda House, Delhi University, stood third with Anthropology as her optional subject.
P.K. Sidharth Ramkumar, who holds a B.Arch from the College of Architecture, Trivandrum, secured the fourth rank with Anthropology as his optional subject.
Ruhani, a graduate in Economics from St. Stephens College, Delhi University, secured the fifth rank with Economics as her optional subject.
The UPSC announced that a total of 1,016 candidates cleared the examination and have been recommended for various central government services. Among the top 25 candidates, there are 10 women and 15 men.
Out of the total candidates, 115 are from the economically weaker section, while 303, 165, and 86 belong to the OBC, SC, and ST categories, respectively. The remaining 347 candidates are from the general category.
These successful candidates have been recommended for appointment to prestigious services including the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service, and Central Services (Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’).
Who is Aditya Srivastava, UPSE Top Scorer

Aditya Srivastava, hailing from Bhitauli, Lucknow, secured the top rank in the UPSC CSE 2023. His roll number was 2629523, and his optional subject was Electrical Engineering.
Regarding his educational background, Aditya Srivastava attended CMS Aliganj in Lucknow for his schooling. He holds a BTech degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IIT Kanpur). This was not Aditya Srivastava’s first attempt; he also appeared for the UPSC Exam last year. Currently, Aditya Srivastava serves as an IPS Officer undergoing training in West Bengal.

According to the UPSC, the government has announced 1,143 vacancies to be filled through the civil services examination in 2023. These vacancies include 180 in the IAS, 37 in the IPS, 200 in the IFS, 613 in various central Group A services, and 113 in Group B services.
Additionally, 240 candidates have been placed on a reserved list, while the candidature of 355 recommended candidates remains provisional.
The UPSC has established a “Facilitation Counter” near the examination hall on its campus, where candidates can seek information or clarification regarding their examinations/recruitments during working hours or via telephone.
The Commission also stated that candidates can access their marks on the website within 15 days from the date of the result declaration.
