Karan Johar on May 27 announced the teaser of Dhadak 2 on his Instagram handle. In the caption, he wrote, “Ek tha raja, ek thi rani. Jaat alag thi, khatam kahani.”

Shazia Iqbal is known for her Nawazuddin Siddiqui & Sarah Hashmi starrer short film ‘Bebaak‘. For which she has won the Best Debut Director Award at the 35th Sao Paulo International Short Film Festival.
Dhadak 2 is reportedly said to be a remake of Mari Selvraj’s Tamil film ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ which released in 2018. ‘Dhadak 2′ is going to hit the theaters on 22nd November as per the announcement.
Plot of the Film
Dhadak 2 is said to be delving into the themes of love, societal challenges, and caste discrimination.
This film will be a sequel to Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak‘ which starred Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar in the leading roles. The original ‘Dhadak’ was a remake of Marathi cult classic ‘Sairat‘, directed by Nagraj Manjule released in 2016, starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar.
Director of Dhadak Shashank Khaitan shares his reaction on the announcement of the film
“I’m sure that it’s going to be a very, very powerful story. I’m also excited about young actors coming up and telling social stories. I’m really looking forward to Dhadak 2. I think it was a very bold reveal in terms of how they announced the title and unveiled the actors.”he said.
Dhadak 2 is produced by Dharma Productions in collaboration with Zee Studios and Cloud 9 Pictures.
Tripti Dimri is known for her performances in ‘Bulbul’, ‘Qala’, and ‘Animal’. Siddhant Chaturvedi has appeared in ‘Gully Boy’, ‘Gehraiyaan’, and ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’. Fans are eagerly waiting for the anticipated Dharma Productions sequel to be released on 22nd November this year.
