The T20 World Cup is around the corner, and fans are excited to see two Asian giants, India and Pakistan face off which is scheduled on June 9th. With this, the tickets for the event have become far more expensive than the official cost, which was $6 (about Rs 497).
India vs Pakistan Tickets
According to several media reports, tickets for the India vs Pakistan match which is being held in New York are being resold at double the original price at platforms like StudHub and SteakGeek.
StudHub and SteakGeek are now selling Premium seats at $40,000 (Rs 33 lakh), which were originally offered at $400 (Rs 33,000). With additional platform fees rising prices up to $ 50,000 (about Rs 41 lakh).
Most Expensive Ticket
The most expensive tickets at SeekGeek have reached $175,000 (Rs 1.4 crore) for the India vs Pakistan match and with the additional charge worth $50,000 (Rs 41 lakh), the price of tickets increased to Rs 1.86 crore.
Cheapest Ticket
The cheapest ticket of the match in New York costs around $1,259 (Rs 1.04 lakh) on resale platforms.
VIP Tickets
The price of VIP tickets for ICC T20 WC on the official website was $400 (Rs 33,000 excluding taxes), While on resale platform’s cost is $40,000 (Rs 33 lakhs), and with additional platform price, it reaches $50,000 (Rs 41 lakhs). 
India vs Pakistan Ticket Price Surpassing Other Events in US
The resale prices of the India vs Pakistan match are similar to or surpassing the ticket prices of other popular events in the US. The average World Series ticket costs around $1,100 (Rs 91,000) while the price of Super Bowl 58 tickets is $9,000 (Rs 7.45 lakh).
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Director expressed Surprise!
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Director, Fawwaz Baksh, expressed surprise and said this overwhelming response to the match was beyond their expectation.
He suggested fans who missed the tickets for the event keep an eye on the official website as some tickets will be made available. And for others without tickets he suggested them to participate in various activities, visiting parks planned around the tournament.
