It is well known that Suniel Shetty adores his son-in-law, cricket player KL Rahul. Rahul competed for India in the 2023 Cricket World Cup, but the team lost and was unable to bring home the trophy despite Rahul’s outstanding play up until the semi-finals. A few people then started trolling the team’s players.
Suniel Shetty defended Rahul:-
Suniel Shetty’s cricketer son-in-law KL got targeted. When India lost the recent Cricket World Cup, Rahul was the target of trolls. He was chastised for his fielding on the final day of the match. Suniel stated that he feels bad when internet bullies target his daughters Athiya or Rahul.
Suniel told ANI that Rahul advised him not to react to the negativity directed at the family. Suniel revealed that Rahul told him, “Dad, my bat will talk.”
Suniel expressed his feelings about internet trolls targeting his children, saying, “The faith of the people in him, the selectors, the faith of the captain, it said it all.” It hurts me a hundred times more than Rahul or Athiya.”
Suniel expressed his admiration for Rahul in an earlier interview with IndianExpress.
“Even if you try everything to run someone down, good deeds never go unnoticed.” He possesses that zeal, commitment, discipline, and consistency. He, too, feels compelled to act. Above all, he has a big heart that is always willing to give. I always tell my kids that the art of giving teaches them the art of living. Regarding Rahul, I’ve been a fan since he was a cricketer, and even now, as a son, not even my son-in-law, I’m still a fan.”
About KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty’s relationship:-
After dating for several years, Athiya and KL Rahul married earlier this year in January.
Before making their relationship public with the wedding announcement, both celebrities kept it under wraps. In the presence of family and close friends, the couple married in Suniel’s bungalow in Khandala.
