The Netflix CEO, Gerg Peters, doesn’t seem overly thrilled about Apple’s latest device, the Apple Vision Pro. He recently disclosed in an interview with Stratechery that Netflix is not an app available on the Apple Vision Pro, unlike other well-known applications like YouTube and Spotify.
Netflix will not available on Vision Pro
According to Peters, the crux of the matter is not its actual dimensions but rather the quantity of individuals utilising it. The user base for Vision Pro is currently insufficient for Netflix to make a major investment, according to Peters, who also stressed the importance of being extremely frugal with their time and money. Peters continued, “We’ll see where things go with Vision Pro.” “Right now, it’s not really important for most of our members.”
However, Peters did offer a ray of hope: Netflix might change its mind if tech giant offers incentives to sweeten the deal. He reminded everyone that Netflix and Apple have a history of working together and are constantly looking for methods to support one another. “On occasion, we discover a significant area of convergence,” Peters remarked, ajar slightly.
In its first weekend of sales, Apple Vision Pro received about 180,000 pre-orders, but Peters noted that this is minuscule in comparison to the millions of other devices, such as smartphones and standard TVs. To put it simply, Netflix isn’t paying much attention to Apple Vision Pro just yet.
Other way to use Netflix on Apple Vision Pro
Peters made a forward-looking suggestion, saying that they might consider developing a unique app if more people begin to use Vision Pro and insist that Netflix be available on it. For the time being, though, you can still use the Safari browser to watch your preferred Netflix series if you own an Vision Pro.
Companies like Netflix are being cautious as technology continues to advance, ensuring that their investments are made where it will have the greatest impact on their users. So, while the Vision Pro might not be a game-changer for Netflix. However, Apple continues to monitor Netflix.
