Nothing, confirmed the information about the Phone (2a) last week, which has been speculated by several tipsters from the last few months.
Although the London-based phone maker withheld any information or hardware specs, we are aware of the features that its entry-level model offers. Here is all the information we currently know about the Phone (2a), including certification listings and leaked renders.
Nothing Phone (2a) launch date
Last week, Nothing verified that the highly anticipated Phone (2a) is “coming soon” via its official X (formerly Twitter) handle. The forthcoming smartphone may be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, which begins on February 26, despite the company not disclosing when it will be available in India.
It appears that Flipkart will be the outlet where customers can buy the Phone (2a), just like with other Nothing phones. The e-commerce platform has already created a phone-specific microsite, but it presently only has a video on it where members of the Nothing team discuss the upcoming gadget.
Phone 2(a) design
The company’s renowned Glyph interface, which is present on both the Nothing Phone (1) and the Phone (2), is absent from the Phone (2a), despite the device sharing many of the same curved edges as its predecessors. But nothing appears to have kept the rear panel clear.
Few months ago, a leaked render revealed that the Phone (2a) would also not take the design of rear vertical camera setup, but opting for mid centred horizontal one. But, according to the report of Smartprix in partnership with the known tipster, OnLeaks gave a clue that it will have the same vertical camera set up as its predecessor.
The Nothing Phone (2a) might have some lines occupying the bottom half of the phone and a large circular component to the right of the dual cameras. However, since nothing is official just yet, we suggest that you treat this information with caution as things could change in the future.
Phone 2(a) price and speciality
Code-named Aerodactyl, Nothing’s next phone may be powered by the MediaTek Dimensirty 7200, a mid-range chipset that was used in the Vivo V27 and iQOO Z7 Pro smartphones from the previous year. It may have two cameras: a 50 MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide sensor. It might also have a 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen.
Although the company may discontinue supporting wireless charging, which is a standard feature of devices, there is currently no information available regarding the battery capacity or charging speed. The Phone (1) is anticipated to be replaced by the Phone (2a), which implies that the company may set its pricing below Rs 30,000.
