Wednesday night, some extremely graphic and unsettling AI-generated photos of Taylor Swift began to circulate on X (previously Twitter).
Although the true source of these pictures is unknown, Taylor Swift’s privacy and dignity have been blatantly and abhorrently violated. These photos are wholly inappropriate, thus they won’t be displayed in this article.
Taylor Swift’s NSFW went viral:
Taylor Swift fans who are popularly known as Swifties, instantly expressed their anger and disappointment at the pop star’s photos, and they intervened by stifling the trending topic “Taylor Swift AI” with irrelevant posts. They demonstrated their support for Swift, who has been negatively impacted by the disgusting trend of making NSFW and fake images.
With the rise in popularity and accessibility of AI art in recent years, this trend has become more widespread and concerning. But this also brings up important moral concerns regarding the nature of AI, its applications, and how it might be abused or exploited by others.
Not just the Grammy Award winner has been the victim of harmful content of this nature. Similar attacks, such as deep fake videos that alter their voices and faces, have also been directed towards other prominent A-list celebrities in the entertainment industry, like actress and TikTok star Addison Rae.
AI features turns out to be threat:
The personal photo leaks that celebrities have experienced over the years as a result of hacking are exactly like this type of content. Anyone’s identity or image being used in such a dehumanising way and without their consent is incredibly upsetting and unfair.
Regretfully, this emerging threat has not been adequately addressed by the legal system. Despite the fact that AI-generated nudes can have a disastrous impact on a person’s mental and emotional well-being as well as their professional, social, and personal reputation, MSNBC reports that “there is no such [federal] crime that covers AI-generated nudes.”
Over the years, a number of celebrities, including Bella Thorne, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lawrence, Demi Lovato, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Johnson, Rihanna, and others, have fallen victim to hacks and leaks of their nude photos.
Taylor Swift’s fans reaction on NSFW:
Following that, fans commented, “Man, this is so wrong and inappropriate.” Another person commented, “whoever makes those taylor swift ai pictures is going to hell.” Someone said, “An arrest should be made for whoever is producing this garbage. This kind of s*it should be prohibited because of what I witnessed, which is just disgusting.” Four people raised their hands, saying, “We NEED to protect women from stuff like this.”
