Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has landed in legal trouble for assaulting an influencer and a YouTuber, Sagar Thakur, in Gurgaon on Friday. FIR against Elvish Yadav has been registered.
Youtuber’s assault by Elvish Yadav
A 25-year-old influencer, Sagar Thakur also known as Maxtern, was beaten by Elvish Yadav, around 12.30 am on Friday, March 8th.
The video of the incident surfaced on the internet. The video captured Yadav entering the room and beating up the victim with 10 others from his group. Thakur falls to the ground, injured.
In the video shared by Thakur on his account, he said he went to Gurgaon only to meet Yadav, but Yadav had other intentions. He threatened to kill him and assaulted him along with his other friends.
However, Yadav told the media that Thakur threatened to kill his family and the incident took place in the heat of movement.
Thakur’s Accusation Against Yadav in the Police Complaint
In a Police complaint, Thakur said that he is a content creator in the gaming industry and has been actively producing content on YouTube since 2017. Thakur also mentioned that he has over 1.6 million subscribers on YouTube, 8.5 lakh followers on Instagram, and 2.4 lakh followers on X.
He added that he has known Elvis Yadav since 2021 and claimed that Yadav’s fan page has been spreading misleading information and hate against him, which distressed him.
“I was asked by Yadav to meet but thought it would be a verbal discussion. When he came to the store, he and his 8-10 goons, who were drunk, started beating me and using abusive language. Elvish Yadav tried to break my spine..,” he alleged.
FIR was registered at Sector 53 police station in Gurgaon under IPC sections 147, 149, 323, and 506.
Statements by Police
Inspector Rajendra Singh of SHO sector 53 police station stated Elvish Yadav called Thakur at a shop owned by Yadav’s friend at Southpoint Mall on Golf Course Road to meet. “The movement Thakur entered the shop, Yadav started beating him,” he added.
“They have been vying with each other on YouTube and their followers would pick on each other on social media. We have collected the footage and an investigation is underway,” said the Inspector. He added that the medico-legal test report of Thakur is recorded, and he sustained four minor injuries.
