Zoom, a well-known video conference service that is utilised both domestically and internationally, is about to improve virtual meetings with its newest app, which is made specifically for the Apple Vision Pro. The integration of elements from the users’ physical surroundings is anticipated to enhance the immersive experience offered by the mixed-reality headset. On February 2, the highly anticipated Apple Vision Pro is expected to launch in the United States. On the same day, the Zoom app will be downloadable from the App Store.
Zoom utilising Apple’s Personas feature
One notable aspect of the app is its utilisation of Apple’s Personas feature. Participant creation of digital avatars for virtual meetings will be made possible by this.
The Apple Vision Pro automatically creates these avatars through machine learning, which helps to replicate their movements and facial expressions in real time. This gives the remote interactions a new level of realism.
Spatial Zoom Experience
The Spatial Zoom Experience, another feature of the app, allows users to enlarge virtual conference rooms to their real-life dimension.
By encouraging a sense of shared physical space among participants, this feature seeks to enhance collaboration and immersion during remote meetings.
Apple Vision Pro Price
The 256GB model of the Apple Vision Pro starts at USD 3,499 (roughly Rs 2,90,000). The 512GB and 1TB storage variants are priced at USD 3,699 (roughly Rs 3,00,000) and USD 3,899 (roughly Rs 3,24,000), respectively.
In the US market, the headset will go on sale on February 2.
Zoom three new features
Three more features that Zoom has hinted at will improve the collaboration experience are on the horizon. The first is the launch of 3D Object Sharing, which will let users exchange 3D models to enjoy movies together. Zoom sees uses in a number of industries, including animation and design.
Zoom Team Chat is anticipated to launch in the first half of 2024, enabling seamless team communication for Apple Vision Pro users.
Additionally, users will soon be able to pin up to five participants anywhere in their physical space thanks to the Real-World Pinning feature. Enhancing the overall immersive experience during the virtual interactions is the goal of offering participants the option to have their backgrounds removed.
